The Joseph Levy Memorial Fund for Education, hereafter referred to as the Joseph Levy Education Fund (JLEF), was set up in the early 1990s by a legacy of the late Joseph Levy, from which it still receives substantial income. Other sources of funds are a grant from the Joseph Levy Foundation and an annual golf event organised by Shaftesbury plc.
We know that furthering your education when you have Cystic Fibrosis (CF) can be a challenge. JLEF awards small grants to people to help with some of the additional financial costs associated with studying while living with CF.
In previous years the average grant has been £600. However due to the current uncertainty associated with Coronavirus/Covid19 the size of each grant may need to be reduced.
JLEF is administered by JLF on behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and in 2019 a total of 131 grants were awarded totalling £69,271.
