James succeeds Jane Jason OBE, who has led the Foundation with dedication and insight as Chair since 2018. Under her leadership, the Foundation has continued to advance its mission of supporting people who experience disadvantage.
With a wealth of governance and management experience, James brings a deep understanding of the Foundation’s work and values. A Director of a central London commercial property company, he previously chaired the Cystic Fibrosis Holiday Fund and has supported a range of community initiatives, including work with London Youth’s estates management team. James played a key role in shaping the JLF 2025–2030 strategy.
Joining him in a leadership role, Claire Brown has been appointed Vice Chair. A qualified solicitor, Claire spent over a decade working for CMS LLP and brings valuable legal expertise and strategic insight to the position. In addition to providing business consultancy for a London medical partnership, Claire became a Director of Reigate Heath Golf Club in 2025, where she continues to champion women’s leadership and promote the value of community engagement.
Reflecting on the appointments, Jane Jason OBE said:
“I am thrilled to welcome James and Claire into their new roles. Their leadership and commitment will be instrumental as the Foundation continues to honour our benefactor’s legacy and build on our work supporting young people who experience disadvantage.”
The Foundation extends its heartfelt thanks to Jane Jason OBE for her remarkable service, leadership, and ongoing support.
